Islamabad Police launch probe after busting gang of fraudsters

Police and the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) in Islamabad have started investigations after getting two-day physical remand of two members of a gang of fraudsters who looted millions of rupees from people by posing themselves as principal secretaries to the president, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to the FIR registered against the suspects, they had even made fake pads of different countries’ embassies in Islamabad.
They made fake letter head of the embassy of Japan in Pakistan, read the FIR.
Similarly, they had prepared fake quotation of the President House for the procurement of 210,000 metric tonnes of steel.
Moreover, they had also prepared some other documents in order to make people believe that they were the employees of the President House.
The suspects namely Javed, Fazal Malik and Waqar Ahmad had also made fake pay orders of the National Bank of Pakistan.
Two cases had been registered against them in July on the complaints of Jawad Hussain Ansari and Chaudhry Muhammad Azad who alleged that they had been robbed of millions of rupees by the gang.
However, they had gone into a hiding in July this year.
