The staff-level talks between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will begin on November 2, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Under the standby agreement, the next tranche of $71 million will be received by Pakistan.
The IMF team will be led by Nathan Porter.
“If the negotiations are successful, the IMF board will approve the next tranche of the loan,” informed sources have said.
There will be a meeting of the IMF board in December to release the tranche to Pakistan.
In the November negotiations, the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar will be considered.
The outcomes of the monetary policy will also be discussed. The Power Division has fulfilled the condition of reducing the circular debt, the sources have claimed.
