Lollywood star Humayun Saeed will feature in the season ‘The Crown’ which is expected to premiere on Netflix on Nov 9. Two months after the Queen's passing, the official account for the royal drama announced the release date on Twitter.
On Nov 9th, the fifth season of the historical drama series The Crown, which centers on the British monarch Queen Elizabeth II and her extended family, will premiere.
The producers did not specify which real-life events will be adapted for the screen in the fifth installment, but it is rumored that it will focus on the family's problems throughout the 1990s.
According to reports, the ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ actor will play Dr. Hasnat Khan, a British-Pakistani heart specialist with whom Lady Di had a covert two-year relationship. Khan and Diana's relationship is rumored to appear on screen at some point in the most recent season.
Saeed announced the release of the season on his Instagram account where other celebrities like Sajal Aly, Syra Yousaf, and Minna Tariq came forward to support the actor in his debut and also expressed excitement.
The longest-reigning British monarch's death earlier this month has rekindled interest in the series, which was already well-liked by viewers. 22 Emmy Awards have been given to The Crown, including the best drama series prize and the top drama actor awards for Foy and Colman. Josh O'Connor, who portrayed Prince Charles in 13 episodes as a young man, also took home the award for best drama actor.
