Mysterious disease kills 20 peacocks in Tharparkar

More than 20 peacocks died in two days after suffering from a mysterious disease in the villages of Chachru Kaloi and Diplo in Umerkot, Tharparkar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The mysterious disease and rising mercury were cited as reasons for deaths of so many peacocks.
The residents of the area have started treating the ailing peacocks using home remedies. They feared that more peacocks are likely to die if effective measures are not taken by the wildlife department.
They appealed the wildlife department to take immediate steps to save the peacocks.
According to Deputy Collector Mir Ijaz Talpar, wherever complaints have been received their teams have reached there and vaccinated the sick peacocks.
