The Meteorological Department has issued forecasts predicting rain and snowfall in several regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Islamabad
According to the report, Islamabad and Rawalpindi will experience cold weather with partial cloudy skies.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, areas such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Mansehra, and Abbottabad may witness thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall and the possibility of snowfall in some locations, with chances of hailstorms in certain areas.
Punjab
Most districts in Punjab will experience cold weather with partial cloudy skies. However, mild rain is expected in Murree, Galyat, and Gujranwala.
Balochistan
In Balochistan, road closures due to snowfall are expected in northern Balochistan, while heavy rainfall may lead to local flooding in areas such as Gwadar, Kech, Panjgur, and Awaran. Cities including Panjgur, Gwadar, Awaran, Khuzdar, Qila Saifullah, Turbat, Kech, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, and Qila Abdullah may experience thunderstorms along with rain and snowfall in the mountains.
Sindh
In Sindh, most districts are expected to have partly cloudy skies. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, severe cold weather and partial cloudy skies are anticipated, with the likelihood of gusty winds and thunderstorms in some areas, along with rain and snowfall in the mountains.
