The Punjab Safe City Authority has introduced a new application called "Post FIR Follow-Up Service" to assist women, allowing them to address their complaints from the comfort of their homes via a virtual women's police station.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, this unique app ensures that the Virtual Women Police Station maintains continuous contact with the affected women through the "Post FIR Follow-Up Service."
The spokesperson for the Punjab Safe City Authority explained that the Virtual Women Police Station provides updates on the progress of cases after the registration of FIRs.
As per the channel report, this new application will also offer legal solutions for affected women’s issues.
The Punjab Safe City Authority spokesperson further stated, “To connect with the Virtual Women Police Station, dial 15 and select option 2.”
The spokesperson further said that the initiative of the new app aims to revolutionise women’s safety and provide seamless access to legal support.
