BRT Peshawar has allotted separate seats or reservations for transgender in BRT Peshawar buses in a bid to facilitate the marginalized and underprivileged community, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

BRT Peshawar Spokesperson Usman Khan said that eunuchs are a part of our society and BRT Peshawar took the decision to facilitate the transgender community members. He urged community members to avoid sitting on reserved seats for eunuchs in buses.

Last year in August, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, which became the flagship project of the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to make daily commute easier for the locals. KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, along with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, was present at the launch of the project, where the premier also delivered a speech.
