Passengers jump for life as bus caught up in AJK landslide

A passenger bus travelling from Karachi to Azad Kashmir capital of Muzaffarabad escaped a disaster when it was caught up in a landslide on Kohala Road on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to eyewitnesses, the passengers jumped out of the bus to save their lives after it was hit by the heavy landslide in Dolai area on the central highway linking Muzaffarabad with Rawalpindi.
A rescue operation was promptly launched to retrieve the passenger bus from debris of the landslide.
The district administration along with heavy machinery rushed to the site, the police said, fearing the vehicle may slide into river if it was not taken out.
Due to the incident, all types of traffic was suspended on Kohala-Muzaffarabad Road.
