Transporters said the government should take steps to control the petroleum mafia, adding that poor passengers will be affected by the increase in transport fares.
Transporters said the government has always failed to provide relief to them.
On the other hand, passengers expressed their complete displeasure on the recent price hike, saying that increase in transport fares prompted by the hike in POL rates due to the pressure from petrol mafia was not acceptable at all.
