Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan will not be released in the current situation, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Sheikh Rasheed mentioned that no charges were filed today. He recounted his argument with the prosecutor, who refused to appear, having filed a motion of no confidence against the judge, which was dismissed.
Sheikh Rasheed also warned that a scenario similar to the Kenyan film could unfold in Pakistan, predicting a reckoning before August 30. Commenting on the budget, he quoted Shahbaz Sharif, saying, "This is the IMF's budget, and it is made by the IMF."
He emphasized that the nation should not wait for a leader, highlighting widespread poverty and characterizing the current struggle as one for the poor. Regarding the release of Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed remarked that only a fool would believe the PTI founder would be released.
