PTI won’t allow operation in KP without public consent: Rauf Hassan

PTI Secretary Information Rauf Hassan has claimed that the country will move forward when Pakistani courts will provide justice to the masses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference along with Gilt-Baltistan former Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed, PTI’s Rauf Hassan said that during yesterday’s apex court hearing, it was given an impression that PTI did not hold intra-party elections.

He said PTI held intraparty elections three times and submitted the results in the ECP. He advised the Chief Justice that such statements should not be passed.

Talking about military operations in KP, the PTI spokesman claimed the federal government was changing its statements day by day. He said PTI will not allow an operation in KP without public consent.

PTI Secretary Information said if the Army wants to start intelligence-based operations in KP, then parliament should be briefed in camera. He said after due discussion in the National Assembly, PTI will take this issue to KP Assembly and later to the KP’s public for their consent.

Rauf Hassan said during the general elections 2024, PTI candidates were pressurized, manhandled, arrested, and jailed under habeas corpus. He claimed that the role of Chief Election Commissioner was doubtful from the day first of the general elections.

PTI Secretary Information said the ECP was a national organization but the conduct of the ECP chief made it controversial. He advised the CJP to look at the conduct of the Chief Election Commissioner first. He urged CJP to read the reports of the European Union and Common Wealth.

Rauf Hassan reminded the CJP why the former Rawalpindi Commissioner Mr Chatha was being forgotten by the courts. Why CJP was not concerned about the safety and whereabouts of Mr Chatha?

PTI spokesman urged the apex court to review its conduct. He said SC was not listening to the petition of PTI despite the lapse of four months. He said SC Justice Athar Minallah had mentioned PTI petition. He questioned the CJP why the court was not listening PTI petition and wasting time on less important pleas.

He said all current actions were part of London Plan and with proper planning, facts and the right information was being controlled in the country.

Rauf Hassan said PML-N Leader Rana Sana had said that the government will try its best to keep the PTI founder in jail. He claimed PTI chief would be out of jail soon.

GB former CM Khalid Khursheed said the CJP claimed that PTI had held intra-party elections three times but the chief Justice failed to look at it. He said CJP only knew about the election in which Nawaz Sharif was made party president.

He said CJP claimed he didn’t watch TV or social media. He said the entire world admitted that these were the dirtiest general elections in the country as even US Congress had taken notice of irregularities it unluckily country’s courts didn’t take notice of riggings.

He claimed when the constitution is restored in Pakistan, all these characters will be in jail. He said even before the general elections in 2024, PML-N leaders used to say that PTI’s bat symbol would not be available in the ballot papers.
