Three standing committees of the National Assembly have elected new chairpersons, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Thursday. Yesterday, six chairmen were elected.
According to the channel, Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar has been elected as the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges.
His election occurred during a committee meeting, where Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar proposed his name for the position.
Raja Khurram Nawaz has been elected as the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Interior. His election was finalized in a committee meeting, with Syed Rafiullah and Dr Tariq Fazal nominating him, and Jamal Ahsan Khan supporting his candidacy.
Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Babar has been elected as the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Aviation. His election took place during a committee meeting, with Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhry proposing his name and Jam Abdul Karim seconding the nomination.
