Police constable shoots man dead over monetary dispute in Lahore

A man was killed in firing by a police constable in the Defence-C police precincts on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, Constable Kamran Sadiq had some monetary dispute with 27-year-old Kamran Ishtiaq, a resident of Karachi East.
The accused shot at and injured Kamran Ishtiaq in front of a paan shop for not returning his money and escaped from the scene.
He was rushed to a private hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his wounds.
On information, a police team reached the spot, and they shifted the body of the deceased to a morgue for medico-legal formalities.
Lahore DIG Operations Sohail Chaudhry sought a report about the incident from Cantt SP and ordered thorough investigations into the incident.
“Law enforcement is the priority of Lahore police,” he stated.
“No one is above the law. The main accused will be arrested soon, and justice will be provided to the family of the deceased,” he vowed.
Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana also sought a report from the Cantt SP and issued orders for early arrest of the accused.
“Police teams have been formed for the arrest of the accused, and he will be arrested soon,” said the Cantt SP.
