Emirs of Kuwait and Qatar to visit Pakistan on PM’s invitation

In a significant diplomatic development, Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani have accepted Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation to visit Pakistan.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the acceptance was confirmed during separate meetings between the ambassadors of Kuwait and Qatar and the prime minister on Sunday.
Ambassador of Kuwait Nassar Abdulrahman Jasser Al-Mutairi presented a letter from the Kuwaiti Emir, confirming his acceptance of the invitation and proposing mutually agreed dates for the visit.
PM Shehbaz Sharif reminisced about his recent meeting with the Kuwaiti Emir at the World Economic Forum on April 28, 2024, and expressed satisfaction that the next Pakistan-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Commission meeting would be held in Kuwait from May 28-30.
He emphasized thorough preparations for the Kuwaiti Emir's visit to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Similarly, Qatar’s envoy to Pakistan, Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, handed over a letter from the Qatari Emir, confirming his acceptance of the invitation.
PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Qatari Emir, highlighting the historic brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and emphasized the need for thorough preparations, including an exchange of delegations, to ensure a productive and successful high-level visit.
