A love marriage brought chaotic scenes at the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday as police ‘recovered’ and escorted the bride to the court but the in-laws had already made the court a battleground by exchanging blows, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police personnel rescued the bride and presented her before the court.
But that was not the climax in the love story’s tragic happenings, the family members of the bride and groom also fought a fistfight on the court premises.
The bride's family members thrashed the groom. The mother of the bride kept crying on but her prayers fell on deaf ears.
LHC’s Justice Sardar Ahmed Naeem will hear the case.
Allah Dita approached the court to recover her daughter Naseem from the groom’s procession.
“My daughter is a topper from the University of Central Punjab (UCP) and Muhammad Yusaf lured my daughter into marriage and abducted her,” the bride’s mother claimed.
She said that Muhammad Yusaf was uneducated and there were multiple cases against him too.
She also alleged that police detained two persons and later freed them.
