Robbery, not personal enmity, behind youth’s murder in Karachi

Contrary to the police’s claim that a citizen’s murder near Awami Markaz at Sharae Faisal, Karachi on Monday was due to old enmity, it later turned out to be the consequence of dacoity, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

The relatives of 28-year-old Affan, who said he was killed while resisting a robbery bid, later got the case registered at Bahadurabad police station under the sections of dacoity. 

According to the text of the FIR, on the night of September 25, Affan had gone outside along with his friend Danish in a car. “He was shot at by unidentified dacoits. He later succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Hospital,” read the FIR. 

Body found in briefcase: 

Fear spread in the area after a corpse was found in a briefcase in Quaidabad area of the city in the limits of Shah Latif Town police station on Monday night. 

Quoting residents of the area, police said the body was that of a handicapped man, and that two women, who came in a car, had thrown his body in a waste dumping point. 

Police said it had sent the body to Jinnah Hospital for the postmortem besides collecting evidences from the crime scene. 

Four street criminals arrested:

Quaidabad Police on a tip-off raided a hideout at Sherpao Colony of the city and arrested four most wanted persons in connection with dozens of street crimes besides recovering cellphones, cash and other items from their possession.
