ANF arrests woman from Burundi carrying 86 cocaine-filled capsules in her stomach

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday arrested a foreign woman carrying more than 86 cocaine-filled capsules in her belly at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the ANF sources, 1kg of cocaine was recovered from the capsules that were recovered from the stomach of the woman who arrived at Karachi Airport from Burundi, a country in East Africa.
In another operation, 7kg of hashish was recovered from an accused, a resident of Qambar Shahdadkot, near Shikarpur.
On Peshawar Ring Road, 24kg of hashish and 18 kg of opium were recovered from the secret compartments of a vehicle. A resident of Narowal was arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into Punjab.
Near Lahore’s Wapda Town, the owner of a private courier company was arrested and 3.612kg of ice was recovered from a parcel in his vehicle. The accused confessed to facilitating smugglers to smuggle drugs abroad.
In an uninhabited area of Gwadar, 65kg of hashish hidden for smuggling was recovered.
Cases were registered against the accused under the ANF Act, and investigations were launched.
