ANF seizes narcotics worth Rs200 million in 15 operations

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have recovered 94.806 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs200 million in 15 different operations and arrested 17 persons across the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Crackdown against educational institutions
ANF personnel recovered 6 kilograms of hashish and arrested three persons near a university located in Johar Town, Lahore.
In another operation, ANF team impounded 300 grams ice and 24-intoxicated pills from the possession of an accused person near a university located on Japan Road in Islamabad.
During crackdown, ANF team seized 200 grams of hashish near a university located on Lalazar Road of Rawalpindi and arrested two persons.
ANF other operations
Anti-Narcotics Force team foiled an attempt to smuggle 14 kilo and 500 grams of ice to Australia from a courier office in Karachi. The ice was tactfully hidden in 20 books.
In a separate operation conducted at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) ANF team recovered 900 grams of ice from a passenger going to Jeddah.
During another operation ANF team recovered 2 kilograms of heroin from the custody of a passenger who was ready to depart for Malayasia.
Over 706 grams of heroin was recovered from a passenger who was travelling to Dammam from Islamabad International Airport.
ANF team seized 48 kilograms of hashish and 1400 grams of opium from a vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar.
In another operation, ANF thwarted a bid to smuggle 2 kilograms and impounded a vehicle being used for transportation of narcotics and also arrested one person.
ANF team recovered 1 kilogram of heroin and 2 kilo 400 grams of hashish from two persons near Rang Road, in Peshawar.
ANF team conducted three separate operation on M-I Islamabad and seized 10 kilo and 800 grams of hashish and arrested two ladies and one man.
ANF team impounded 1 kilo of ice n another operation conducted on GT Road, Multan.
ANF personnel registered separate cases under anti-narcotics act against the accused persons and started investigation.
