Punjab cabinet’s 26th meeting approves 9-point agenda

The Punjab caretaker cabinet has approved a 9-point agenda in its meeting held here under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the 26th Provincial Cabinet meeting, the participants okayed the amendments to the Punjab Police Deputy Superintendents (Appointment by Promotion) Service Rules of 2020.
These amendments mark a notable step in the ongoing efforts to reform the police service in the province.
The cabinet gave its nod to the formation of the Punjab Sports Endowment Fund Management Committee, demonstrating the government's commitment to promoting sports and athletic development.
The annual reports for 2022 by the Punjab Public Service Commission and the Provincial Ombudsman were also approved in the meeting.
Furthermore, the meeting also gave it permission to ratification of the decisions of the 6th meeting of the cabinet standing committee on legal affairs and privatization.
This reaffirms the government's dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring accountability.
The ministers gave their approval for the appointments of technical members of Punjab Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority.
Approval was granted for the renewal of the contract of ICT based system with the Punjab Information Technology Board.
The meeting also agreed upon the Punjab Wildlife Management Committee Rules 2023.
The Cabinet's Standing Committee for Peace and Security also had its 10th and 11th session decisions ratified during the meeting, signifying the government's commitment to maintaining peace and security in the province.
