Mother-Daughter rape case: Victims identify ‘rapists’

The victims of gang rape, mother and daughter by two rickshaw drivers Saturday identified the accused in an identification parade at Chung Investigation Centre, Lahore.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the investigating police officer presented the report about the accused persons in the anti-terrorism court after identifying them from the victims.
The investigating officer demanded the court for the physical remand to further investigate the culprits.
As per the report, the accused were identified as Omar Farooq and Mansab Ali who raped mother and daughter on August 22 at gunpoint and looted their money, mobiles and other valuable items.
The victims reached Thokar Lahore from Vehari and took a ride of a rickshaw for Saddar area but the accused took them in an abandoned society and rapped them on a gunpoint.
Both the accused are identified as the criminal record-holders in police files as Umar Farooq has a history in rape cases at Nawaz Town and Haveli Lakha, Depalpur areas.
