Popular Indian actress Surbhi Chandna lately revealed various struggles which many TV actresses are still confronting in the industry, disclosing that many fashion designers even refused to offer her a free wedding outfit because of the tag mentioning her as a 'TV star.'
Surbhi Chandna recently sat for an interview with Galata India, wherein the host asked her about her take on people, even today, using the label of 'TV actress' in a degrading manner. The host shared how Hina Khan was criticised for making it to Cannes as a 'TV actress' and how designers were not willing to give her clothes. Surbhi added that even on her wedding day, designers refused to give her clothes. The actress shared that she didn't want to spend a lot of money on her wedding outfit, as she wouldn't use it again, but to associate with the big designers for the same was not possible. Surbhi shared: "At my weddings also there are cases I did not think I want to spend any money on the outfit because I knew that I won't be using it again. So if I wanted to associate with some bigger designers possible hi nahi tha, what she said is totally correct."
Surbhi Chandna was accused of asking for free clothes during her wedding
Earlier, a post about Surbhi went massively viral on the discussion platform, Reddit. The post was actually shared by the designer, Ayush Kejriwal, wherein the actress' PR was seen requesting free clothes during the actress' wedding. Well, the designer refused the same, and revealed that he was against the idea of giving free clothes to celebrities, but it was way too much how a celebrity had asked for free clothes at her own wedding.
Surbhi Chandna's wedding outfit took 1800 hours to make
Surbhi Chandna won hearts with her choice of outfit on her wedding day. The actress ditched traditional red hues as well as the very-trendy pastel hues for her big day and stunned in a turquoise-hued lehenga with carnation pink highlights. The ensemble featured pearl and zari embroidery all over. Baby pink chooda, and customised kaleeras were another attraction of her wedding look. Glam makeup and open hair added stars to her look. The outfit was crafted by the designer duo, Jigar and Nikita.
Talking about the same, in an interview with ETimes, the designer duo revealed that they wanted to match the ensemble with Surbhi's personality. Hence, the colour option was like that. They also shared the outfit took a whopping 70 days to finalise, and the actress was in love with the same. Talking about her elegant wedding dress, Surbhi, in the same interview, revealed that she was left speechless while watching the dress for the first time, and the little girl inside of her did a little happy dance, too.
