Over 100kg of fake honey seized in Chitral raid

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority (FSA) on Tuesday raided a fake honey factory and arrested a number of accused besides seizing over 100 kg of fake honey, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The FSA officials raided the factory in a market in Chitral and the arrested accused red-handed.

Over 100 kg of fake honey was recovered and the manufacturing unit has been sealed. The honey was being prepared with merely citric acid and sugar, the FSA officials said.

The Food Safety Authority said that legal action would be taken against the people involved in manufacturing fake honey.
