Unable to watch the revival of international cricket in Pakistan, some ‘internet warriors’ in neighbouring India have started hurling online threats at players of the Australian cricket team currently visiting Pakistan first time in 24 years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
An Indian citizen named Mridul Tiwari is involved in sending online threats to the family of an unnamed cricketer—who is part of the Australian squad ready to lock horns with Pakistan—and warned them of dire consequences.
It has been brought to the fore that the accused works as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Officer at IMC (Ltd) in India’s Gujrat, and he used a fake Instagram account to send threats to the family of the Australian cricketer.
Earlier, the West Indian cricket team were also kept from visiting Pakistan under a threat of their expulsion from Indian Premier League (IPL).
New Zealand cricket team were also threatened and forced to end their Pakistan visit.
