Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has laid the foundation stone of the Akbar Chowk underpass and flyover project to smoothen the traffic flow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The above-mentioned project will be completed in four months with an estimated cost of Rs3.1 billion. 

Akbar Chowk flyover will consist of two lanes and will be 700-metres long, whereas the underpass will also be having two lanes and will be 540 metres long.

According to the traffic count survey, the construction of flyover and underpass will directly and indirectly benefit 114,000 commuters from Faisal Town, Johar Town, Kot Lakhpat and other adjacent localities. 

Moreover, billions of rupees will be saved through transparent tendering. 

Addressing the ceremony, the CM vowed to complete the project within the stipulated time.
