Punjab govt okays Rs11.08m in grant for repair of its chopper

The caretaker government of Punjab on Tuesday approved additional Rs11.08 million in grant for the repair of the official helicopter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Previously, too, the provincial government had approved Rs70 million in supplementary grant for the same purpose.
The provincial cabinet had okayed the grant at its meeting.
Sources told 24News that the Punjab government had so far approved over Rs8 million in grant for the repair of the chopper as well as under other heads.
Sources disclosed that less funds had been earmarked for the VIP flight operation in the ongoing financial year (FY) than what were required for the purpose.
They further said that the flight operation had suffered a setback owing to the paucity of funds.
