A hefty amount of Rs123 million will be spent to make Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s declared camp offices’ security in Lahore foolproof, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

As many as 20 types of security equipment including cameras, reservoirs, explosive detectors, vehicle scanners, control room containers will be purchased for PM’s camp offices in Model Town and DHA. The equipment will be installed after their purchasing completes next month. 

Cameras, goods checking machine, hydraulic barrier, walkthrough gates and other equipment will be purchased for DHA Phase I camp offices, said police high-ups.  

Security cameras, two hydraulic barriers, three vehicle scanner systems, 100 security lights will also be bought. 

Police officials said 10 cabins and one fiber roof sniper post will be purchased for officials performing security duty. Two containers will be bought with complete accessories for control room. 

Fifty fire extinguishers, two fire alarm systems, 1,000 metre reservoir, 10 metal detectors, 4 dropdown barriers, explosive detectors, two walkthrough gates and two posts for snipers are also part of the purchase package. 

The government had approved Rs123 million for purchase of all these equipment on January 23. The IGP has been asked to purchase the equipment and install them well before time.
