IMF says Pakistan to achieve Rs9414b tax collection target

International Monetary Fund predicted record tax collection in Pakistan for current fiscal year 2023-2024, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
IMF expected that during current fiscal year Pakistan’s Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) will achieve Rs9415 billion rupees tax collections while for the next fiscal year target is set at Rs1590 billion.
The international lender hoped during next fiscal year directs tax collection will jump to 587 billion rupees while sales tax was expected to rise 689 billion rupees.
While during next fiscal year direct tax collection will remain at 4803 billion rupees. The IMF hoped collection of Rs4114 billion in sales tax recoveries for next fiscal year.
