Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) bigwigs will meet today at 3 pm at Muslim House located in Chak Shehzad in Islamabad to chalk out a further course of action in the light of the Supreme Court ruling that ousted the PML-N government led by Hamza Shehbaz in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PDM leadership will make important decisions after Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari's ruling was termed illegal by the apex court that eventually got elected the PTI and PML-Q joint candidate Pervaiz Elahi as the new Punjab chief minister.

Sources claimed that former premier Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari will join the meeting via video link.

The PDM big guns will deliberate on how to counter the narrative of the PTI Chairman Imran Khan who has been calling for free and fair general elections and aggressively demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Sultan Sikandar Raja.

The meeting will decide on what to do with the PTI MNAs' resignations submitted and there are chances that the ruling coalition may ask the National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to accept these resignations.

In the PDM meeting, the ruling coalition will emphasize taking decisive actions against Imran Khan in foreign funding cases, Malam Jabba, helicopter cases, and BRT corruption cases.

The meeting is being held after the National Assembly session in which coalition parties passed a resolution to form a committee for the judicial reforms.

PPP and PMLN have been making statements for the judicial reforms as Supreme Court had rejected their pleas to form the full bench in the Pervaiz Elahi case.
