Countrywide torrential rains, flood claim life of four people, PDMA issues alert

Torrential rains and flood have claimed four lives in different parts of the country and in this regard, PDMAs of the provinces issued alert, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Due to the torrential rains, the flood water has taken a dangerous situation in Swabi and due to the heavy rain and flood, a six-year-old child was swept away by the floodway in Adina Khor, while 21-year-old Amir also drowned in Swabi Mall Lara.
Rescue 1122 divers started searching the dead bodies of both victims. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rains in the next 24 hours and has instructed the people to be careful.
Meanwhile, two individuals, including a woman and a girl, lost their lives, and three others were injured in separate incidents of roof collapse due to heavy rains in Lahore and Gujrat.
In the Barki area of Lahore, a dilapidated room's roof collapsed, resulting in the death of a young girl, Hafiza, while her six-year-old brother Samiullah was injured. Rescue 1122 teams retrieved the injured boy and the deceased girl from under the debris.
Another tragic incident occurred in Gujrat, where a roof collapse led to the death of a woman and injuries to two other individuals.
Moreover, due to heavy rain in Lahore, the main wall of the zoo collapsed and traffic flow was affected due to debris falling on the road.
The Meteorological Department reported that 41 mm of rain was recorded in Kakul, 10 mm in Takht Bai, and 13 mm in Balakot over the past 24 hours. Meteorologists indicated that Peshawar recorded a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, with a high expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius, and a humidity level of 78 percent.
The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 44 degrees Celsius in DI Khan, while the lowest was 18 degrees Celsius in Malam Jabba.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted more rain across various districts in Punjab, including Lahore, and has issued an alert. The PDMA spokesperson noted that monsoon rains are expected to continue in Punjab until July 31, with potential rainfall in most districts.
The rains are expected to reduce heat and humidity levels.
The PDMA Director General, Irfan Kathia, urged the administration of major cities to remain alert and make advance arrangements for potential emergencies. He also warned that storms could damage electric poles and solar panels.
The PDMA control room is monitoring weather conditions 24/7, and the public is advised to follow government instructions.
The Meteorological Department has forecast rains across the country from today until Wednesday due to monsoon winds.
Heavy rainfall in Azad Kashmir has led to flooding in some areas. In Sindh, districts such as Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, and Badin are expected to experience rain, with thunderstorms in some areas.
Rainfall in various parts of Lahore, including Model Town, Kot Lakhpat, Mazing Chongi, and other areas, has made the weather pleasant.
In the federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Kashmir, heavy rain in the early morning caused water accumulation on roads. Rain continues in districts including Jhelum, Gujarkhan, Rawat, Kalrasidan, Attock,
Taxila, Chakwal, and Haripur, as well as Murree, Abbottabad, and Galiat.
