PIA special flight on way to Lahore from New Jersey

A special flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) carrying stranded Pakistanis has left New Jersey, United States, for Lahore.
The special flight for repatriation of stranded Pakistanis departed from Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey, for Lahore.
The PIA special flight will land at Lahore International Airport at 6.30pm (local time) on Sunday (today) evening.
This was PIA’s seventh special flight from the US to Pakistan. The government of Pakistan has initiated special flights operation before Eidul Fitr to take stranded Pakistanis back to the country. The operation is still underway.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistani embassy in Washington, the Pakistani embassy and four of its consulates have tried their utmost for the safe return of the stranded Pakistanis.
The statement further said that all stranded Pakistanis have been registered with the Embassy of Pakistan Washington DC and the concerned Consulates in the United States.
Consul General New York Ayesha Ali saw off the Pakistani passengers at the New Jersey Airport. She also reviewed arrangements made at the airport for the repatriation of stranded Pakistanis.
The safe return of the stranded Pakistanis is the top priority of the Pakistani government and its embassy in Washington DC, said the statement.
