A consumer court in Lahore Tuesday issued a degree against the owner of Dulha House in Siddique Centre, Lahore and ordered him to pay Rs50,000 in damages to a customer for deceitfully selling a substandard fancy suit to him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Abrarul Haq, a resident of Misri Shah area of Lahore, filed a lawsuit against Dulha House located on Mall Road in the consumer court for the payment of Rs125,000 in damages to him.

He, in his complaint, stated that he had bought a fancy ‘Kurta Shalwar’ from Dulha House to don it on the marriage ceremony of his friend.

“But, as soon as I sweated, the fancy Kurta released its colour which spread on the vest and the pajamas I was wearing,” he complained.

He stated that it was a huge embarrassment for him in the presence of the guests in the marriage ceremony, claiming that he was evicted from the shop when he came for the return of the substandard fancy suit.

Consumer Court Judge Adnan Mushtaq ordered for the return of Rs2,500, the price of ‘Kurta Shalwar’, and the payment of Rs50,000 in damages to the complainant.
