Pilgrims travelling from Peshawar to Jeddah on a Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight experienced severe inconvenience due to four technical failures in the plane.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the flight that was scheduled to depart last night at 10 PM for the fourth time will now depart today (Tuesday).
The sources said PIA has set a new record with this incident as the aeroplane encountered technical problems four times.
The sources said the 444 pilgrims were initially asked to arrive at Peshawar Airport at 1 PM yesterday but due to the continuous technical faults, the flight faced significant delays, leaving the pilgrims stranded.
The affected pilgrims expressed their frustration, stating that there was no management or support available to assist them during the delay.
One of the pilgrims remarked, "There is no administration, no one to look after us. Where should we go?"
The PIA flight for Jaddah is now set to depart today after the aeroplane has been repaired at the Peshawar airport.
