Pakistan has received paltry 38% flood aid under UN appeal

Pakistan has received only 38% of the flood assistance under the United Nations funds appeal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources revealed that Pakistan got $179 million in flood aid which becomes only 38% of the funds appeal raised by the United Nations. The country is yet to receive 62% of the flood assistance.
Sources say that Pakistan needs another $472 million for the rehabilitation of flood affectees while the world community has provided $310 million in flood assistance.
Most of the funds have been provided by America, Great Britain and Saudi Arabia, the sources concluded.
