CM Naqvi orders expediting work on Lahore’s Nawaz Sharif Interchange Underpass project

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited the site of Nawaz Sharif Interchange Bedian Road Underpass early Saturday morning and reviewed the progress made on the project so far, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He inspected the quality of construction of the underpass’s walls.
The CM directed that work on the project be further sped up and that it should be divided into three shifts.
As a result of repeated visits by the chief minister, the excavation work at the project site is complete.
Briefing him on the occasion, the contractor said that construction of the underpass’s roof was complete while work on the remaining portions was underway.
He was informed that work was also in progress on the roads adjacent to the underpass as electricity poles were being installed.
Furthermore, the CM was informed, the underpass would be opened for traffic after the completion of its construction in the next few weeks.
Provincial ministers Mansoor Qadir, Amir Mir and Azfar Ali Nasir, CCPO Lahore and the deputy commissioner accompanied him on the occasion.
