The federal government has announced receiving the Hajj applications for 2022 from May 01 to May 13, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Friday.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor held a press conference and announced the date for receipt of Hajj applications.

The minister said that the coronavirus vaccine and booster dose are compulsory for Hajj applicants and the age limit for the Hajj applicant is 65 years this year.

Mufti Abdul Shakoor said that Pakistan has received only 81,132 Hajj quotas in which 40 per cent of government employees and 60 per cent of private Hajj pilgrims will be accommodated.

He told the media that the Hajj applications can also be submitted online. He said Hajj expenses will increase this year and maybe be fixed between Rs7 lac to Rs10 lac per person.

Anyhow, he assured the pilgrims that when the Hajj policy will be announced, they will try their best to provide relief to them.
