Thousands of litres of diesel seized in Pakpattan raids

The administration has taken a stern action against those involved in artificial shortage of diesel in Pakpattan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to the official sources, hundreds of petrol pumps across the Pakpattan district were raided and 22,000 liters of diesel were recovered.
Several petrol pumps were sealed and their owners were arrested on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Ahmar Sohail Kaifi.
Assistant Commissioner Sharjeel Gujjar had the hoarded diesel sold to farmers at controlled rates.
It is to be noted here that the country has been witnessing a severe crisis in terms of diesel shortage for the past many days, and, the government is struggling very hard to overcome it.
