Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday castigated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for, what he said, putting the lives of the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in danger, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While addressing a press conference in Sialkot, the defence minister said that the statement of Imran Khan should be condemned as vehemently as possible.
“The PPP has forgiven the blood of its martyrs,” he said, adding that Imran Khan was taking the politics of the country towards bloodshed.
“After the end of his government, Imran Khan changed many tactics. Imran Khan’s allegations started from the United States (US) and reached Mohsin Naqvi,” he deplored.
“The PPP gave countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism. If there is another tragedy in Pakistan, Imran Khan will be responsible for that,” he stated.
“Imran Khan is responsible for the economic disaster. The PPP has always adopted the path of democracy,” he added.
“The PTI has staged a drama over the arrest of Fawad Chaudhary. During the tenure of the PTI, the opponents were kept in jail,” he abhorred.
“The law should not be subject to any political party,” he asserted and maintained that nothing had happened to the PTI people yet.
“There is no truth in Imran Khan’s allegations. He is leading the country towards chaos,” he said and warned that the law would take its course against one who talked against the institutions.
