All Rawalpindi Restaurants and Rawalpindi Inter-City Hotels Association Sunday rejected the increase in petroleum products prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a joint meeting held on Sunday, the office bearers of both associations warned that this increase would open a floodgate of inflation as the food would become out of reach of the common man.

Rawalpindi Inter City Hotel Association President Sheikh Abdul Waheed also termed this hike as a grave injustice to the masses who are already forced to lead their lives below the poverty line.

He said the life of the common man has become impossible due to the rising inflation in the country. “The increase in oil will impact transportation fares which will increase the prices of food items to an alarming extent.”

He said that if this storm of hike does not subside, Ishaq Dar will have to go back.

“The increase in the prices of petroleum products is equivalent to kneeling before the petrol mafia. First flour and now petrol mafia won in the country, he added.

To a question, he said seeing the performance of CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, it is hoped that the era of prosperity will begin in Punjab.
