Muharram moon not sighted, Ashura to be observed on Aug 09

The new moon of the month of Muharram-ul-Haram is not sighted on Friday so the Ashura will be observed on August 09 this year.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Rout-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced 1st of Muharram will be observed on Sunday, July 31 as no testimony of sighting the crescent has been received from any part of the country
The Raut-e-Hilal Committee Chairman has said now the Ashura-e-Muharram will be observed on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
He addressed a press conference after the committee meeting in Quetta on Friday and confirmed that the moon of Muharram-ul-Haram was not seen across Pakistan.
