Karachi milk retailers claim 40% drop in milk production due to heatwave

Milk retailers in Karachi have reported a 40% decrease in milk production, attributing the drop to livestock deaths caused by the recent heatwave.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the spokesperson for the milk retailers, Waheed Gaddi, has called on the authorities to ensure a stable supply of milk.

The spokesperson highlighted that retailers are now forced to purchase milk at higher prices from the open market.

He said the retailers have formally notified the Karachi Commissioner and the Chief Minister about the severity of the situation through a letter.
