A 17-year-old madrassa girl student of Abbottabad was subjected to severe torture by suspects who also poured acid down her throat allegedly over refusal to marriage proposal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the Bakot police precincts, where the accused subjected the girl named Rukhsar to severe beating, and they left her unconscious near a spring of water after pouring acid down her throat to kill her.
According to the brother of the girl, she remained unconscious for hours, lying near the water spring, before being rushed to Muzaffarabad Hospital in a critical condition.
He said that his sister was still unconscious, for the inner parts of her body were burnt due to the acid which was forcibly poured down her throat.
He also lamented that he got a case registered at Bakot police station, but the accused were yet to be arrested by the police.
“The accused namely Qasim and Fayyaz are influential people. Police are reluctant to take action against them,” he maintained.
He also alleged that the police changed the statement of the girl in the FIR. “It was clearly stated in the medical report that an acid was poured down the throat of the girl, but the police mentioned the consumption of some toxic thing in the FIR.”
“The influential accused are yet to be arrested despite the lapse of 14 days,” he lamented and appealed to the Abbottabad district police officer (DPO) to order early arrest of the accused.
