Aishwarya Rai's bathrobe snaps capture attention amidst Cannes fashion controversy

Despite facing harsh criticism for her fashion choices in Cannes 2024, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has pleasantly surprised her admirers with fresh images in bathrobe, leaving everyone in awe.

The official Instagram handle of L'Oréal Paris dropped a bunch of black-and-white pictures of the diva getting ready for the Cannes Film Festival.

In the photos, Aishwarya was seen dressed in a bathrobe and getting her makeup done.

She was looking into the mirror while striking sensuous poses in her makeup chair.

“Through the lens of @gregwilliamsphotography, go behind the scenes with the talented @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb as she gets ready to shine and walk her worth on the red carpet,"  the brand captioned.

In one shot, she is seen applying mascara on her eyes, while in a second picture, the star looked directly at the mirror as her makeup designer applied lipstick on her.

Needless to say, Aishwarya’s pics were a delight to the eyes.

Reacting to the pictures, a fan wrote, “She could have gone out like this on the red carpet and slayed.” Another social media user commented, “I wish you could do this kinda hairstyle during Cannes.”

Aishwarya Rai's Cannes outfits were compared to birthday decor items. She was brutally trolled for choosing Falguni Shane Peacock's ensembles for her Cannes look. A Reddit user dropped a collage of the actress' photos and some pictures from birthday themes and decors. In the first photo, Aishwarya's black gown was compared to a cake adorned with floral icing, whereas her peacock gown was compared to tinsel garlands. Soon after the post surfaced online, netizens commented that the dresses were hideous and Aishwarya shouldn't have worn them.
