Actress Seemi Raheel fumes at PTV’s apathy

Senior television and film actress Seemi Raheel was infuriated by the state-run Pakistan Television’s apathy towards the senior artistes as the PTV even did not bother to show some due respect they deserve.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the PTI administration sent Seemi Raheel a cheque of meagre Rs1,400 for appearing in an Independence Day programme earlier this year.

The actress got infuriated as she posted an image of the cheque on social media demonstrating the PTV’s indifference towards senior actors.

Seemi Raheel said she felt insulted for receiving such a miserable amount for her work. “The PTV has not learnt anything even after the passage of four decades,” she added.
