Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Chairman Jahangir Tareen has reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to the vision of creating a 'New Pakistan’, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a party workers convention at Jahanian, Khanewal on Saturday, Tareen shared that he had toiled relentlessly for a decade with this objective in mind and is resolute in his determination to see it through.
"We will complete the effort to create a 'New Pakistan'," Tareen declared, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling this vision that, for some reason, had remained unfulfilled despite earlier attempts.
Tareen lamented that a meticulously crafted plan to transform the country into a 'New Pakistan' had been systematically dismantled. Despite the setbacks, I remain undeterred in his mission, he vowed.
IPP Chairman Tareen said that he envisioned a Pakistan where foreigners come to seek employment opportunities.
"We are not limited to slogans," he asserted, underlining his commitment to translating words into tangible action.
Jahangir Tareen continued, "We come to love, not to sow enmity." He said that his vision for Pakistan's transformation revolved around problem-solving, aiming to address the nation's challenges and uplift the living standards of the people.
He also pledged to work tirelessly, day and night, to fulfill his promise to the disadvantaged.
Earlier, IPP President Aleem Khan expressed his astonishment at the overwhelming turnout, calling it the largest he had ever seen in the area.
He emphasized the strength of people's support and pointed out that those who had doubted it could now see where the people truly stand.
In his party's manifesto, Aleem pledged to provide 300 units of electricity free of charge and offer essentials at reduced prices to the poor.
Additionally, he proposed a substantial increase in the minimum wage for laborers to 50 thousand rupees per month.
He concluded by highlighting the support of the people and the importance of backing his vision for a better Pakistan.
He assured that, if they were elected, the government would prioritize health and sanitation, including free healthcare for the elderly and women and the installation of water filtration plants in all union councils.
Khan promised to provide accessible credit to empower the citizens and enable them to stand on their own feet.
IPP president spoke passionately about the need to eradicate corruption, looting, and dishonesty from the country, vowing to bring about economic stability.
He criticized the previous government, accusing them of selling even the smallest job opportunities for exorbitant sums.
He raised questions about unfulfilled promises of housing and job creation, highlighting that those who pledged to provide one crore jobs failed to deliver even one.
