The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber district unearthed a plan involving the funding of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and arrested two suspects, including their own official from Peshawar.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the official sources said CTD officer ASI Noman Gulzada along with another accomplice looted 12 kilograms of gold from a private cargo truck.
The plan allegedly involved selling the stolen gold and distributing the proceeds, with half intended for funding the TTP and the remaining amount divided among the conspirators.
CTD sources revealed that ASI Noman plotted the heist by seizing the gold from the private truck’s driver and scheming to pocket the loot.
Following the officer’s arrest, additional crucial arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
CTD officials stated that Noman Gulzada’s revelations led to the identification of the entire group involved in the conspiracy.
