Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif Thursday congratulated Maryam Nawaz after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) overturned hers and Capt (r) Safdar’s conviction in Avenfield Reference, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Nawaz Sharif talked to Maryam Nawaz on phone and congratulated her over her acquittal in the case.
“God made you successful. The opponents failed,” Maryam Nawaz talked to Nawaz Sharif.
“Congratulations! Soon you will come back to Pakistan honourably,” she said to Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wrote on his Twitter handle: “The edifice of lies, slander and character assassination has come crumbling down today. Maryam Nawaz’s acquittal in the Avenfield Reference is a slap in the face of so-called accountability system that was employed to target Sharif family. My congratulations to Maryam and Safdar.”

Bilawal, Maulana Fazl congratulate Maryam
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman made a telephonic contact with Maryam Nawaz and congratulated her acquittal in the Avenfield reference.
Both leaders paid tribute to the legal and political struggle of Maryam Nawaz Sharif. In response, Maryam thanked Bilawal and Maulana Fazlur for calling.
