Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur issued a strong warning, stating that if PTI workers are fired upon again, they will retaliate in kind, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
In a video message after returning from Burhan, CM Gandapur expressed frustration over the firing on PTI members, saying they had remained silent despite violations of their "chadar and char diwari" (sanctity of home), but the situation had escalated when the firing began.
Gandapur revealed that two party members were shot and injured, with a third still missing, while around 50 PTI workers were also injured.
He claimed the firing started three kilometres away from the Punjab border and said that despite the aggression, they had rescued some Punjab policemen during the clash.
The KP Chief Minister called on the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to unite through jirgas and warned that if 10 bullets were fired at them, they would respond with equal force.
He stressed the need for political decisions to be made by politicians and urged institutions to respect the people's will, warning that only a revolution could bring relief to the public and address their issues.
