State Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir said on Sunday that opposition parties’ meeting would not affect the government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to 24NewsHD TV in Dera Ghazi Khan, Zartaj said that an all parties conference (APC) being hosted by the opposition parties after Eid-ul-Azha would not be a success. She said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif are asking each other to lead the ‘revolution’.
Zartaj said that amendments to the accountability law proposed by the opposition are ridiculous. She said the opposition wanted the government to spare people involved in financial corruption of Re1 to Rs1 billion. She said that Bilawal’s father Asif Ali Zardari made the PPP a Sindhi party only. She said those criticising the PTI government must improve the situation in Karachi first.
