PTI Chairman Imran Khan has cancelled his Peshawar visit today (Saturday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Imran Khan was scheduled to chair a parliamentary party meeting of the PTI in Peshawar today but he has cancelled his visit to the provincial capital.
Now Imran will address the parliamentary party meeting through video link.
Imran Khan is holding parliamentary party meetings in order to hold consultations on his decision to dissolve the provincial assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
However, it has been learnt that differences have emerged within the PTI over the issue of assemblies’ dissolution. Sources have revealed that Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has sought time of one to two months from PTI Chairman Imran Khan for the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly. Likewise, KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Pervaiz Khattak and Asad Qaiser are also not in favour of KP Assembly’s dissolution.
The sources said Imran Khan has strictly instructed the KP CM to ensure the participation of all members in the party parliamentary session today. He also instructed Mehmood Khan that he should take strict action against those who remain absent from the meeting.
The sources said Imran Khan and Mehmood Khan had a detailed discussion about the members opposing the dissolution of the KP Assembly.
It is worth mentioning here that Imran Khan has also called the party parliamentary meetings in Sindh and Balochistan on Sunday (tomorrow).
