A paintings exhibition of Saudi painter and the fourth-eldest son of former Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, Omar bin Laden, was held in France.

Omar bin Laden and his English wife Zaina were president the the exhibition of some 30 Bin Laden's artworks at the "Arielle Brocante", in Le Teilleul, western France on Friday last.

Living in France since 2016, Omar bin Laden began painting during France's Covid-19 related lockdown. Many of his works are inspired by a period of his life spent in Afghanistan.
It's indeed a fascinating world, the son of a revolutionary leader who was killed by the Americans in Pakistan in 2011 simply says he loves painting and they are there for everyone to see, admire and love.

His paintings are rich in colour with red for instance, representing the violence and turbulence he experienced in these places from a young age.
